Testimonials from our 2011 Camp...

The first Camp ImprovUtopia was a fantastic event, full of opportunities to learn from inspiring teachers, and to meet, mingle and throw axes with improvisers from all around the country.  Attending camp reminded me that regardless of skill level or experience, everyone who improvises does so because they are legitimately excited and enthusiastic about the art form.  Surrounding myself with such passionate people in a tranquil, beautiful setting was a highlight of my year.  I learned a lot, made some great new friends from different cities and theatres, and had the chance to perform in shows with some seriously talented people. Bonus points for the delicious camp food and nights spent sipping ice cold drinks at Mozzi's Saloon down the road.  I'm already looking forward to next year!

Camp ImprovUtopia exceeded all of my expectations.  The quality of the instructors and their workshops were phenomenal, the location was beautiful, and the camp counselors were awesome.  I also can't say enough GREAT stuff about all of the wonderful improvisors I met!  This camp is worth every penny, and I look forward to being a camper again next year!

Not only did I meet some great people from improv communities in Arizona, Northern & Southern California, and Australia, but Improv Utopia taught me skills to better support my teammates for cleaner and tighter scenes and stretched me to learn different parts of improv that I'd never been exposed to before.  Everyone was super supportive and friendly and it facilities were clean and really beautiful.  Not to mention the food - the most excellent camp food I've ever eaten.

When I first heard about Camp ImprovUtopia I was immediately sold and became the first camper to register in the history of ImprovUtopia.  A camp for adults who are also improvisers in a beautiful and relaxing environment -- how can you go wrong?  Camp itself was everything and more than I built up for it.  Great workshops, good food, great camp fun and tons of people to meet.  I walked away from the weekend with new friendships, greater improv knowledge and feeling richer in life.

I had a great time at camp.  Not only did I feel like I upped my improv game a few notches, everyone was really friendly and supportive.  The whole experience was really top notch, and it was a lot of fun to meet fellow improvers from all over the country.

Camp Improv Utopia was an amazing blend of improvisers covering the spectrum of experience and training. My wife, Laurie, and I had a great time meeting new people, enjoying the company of our fellow students and instructors from The Torch Theatre, and breathing in the beautiful Cambria countryside. We will most definitively return next year!

Camp improv utopia was the best! The most awesome weekend I've had in a long time! The camp is beautiful, the people are beautiful, the t-shirts are beautiful and the food was amazing! Not only that but I was able to learn so much about improv in such a short time! Worth every penny, without a doubt.
